KEVOS® — Engineering Design, CAD Drafting & Process Improvement in Sydney

Precision engineering documentation, SolidWorks 3D modelling, fabrication drawings and process improvement consulting for Australian manufacturers, fabricators, defence suppliers and infrastructure contractors.

Engineering precision, designed with intent.

KEVOS® is an Australian engineering design practice headquartered in Sydney, delivering specialised CAD drafting, SolidWorks 3D modelling, shop drawings and process improvement consulting across mechanical, structural, architectural and civil disciplines.

Founded by Kevin Jogin in 2011 — after a decade inside Sydney's leading engineering practices — KEVOS® was built on a single conviction: the difference between good and exceptional engineering lives in the details. Today we partner with manufacturers, fabricators, infrastructure contractors, defence suppliers and innovators across the country, translating complex requirements into drawings that build cleanly, install correctly, and perform reliably.

Our Mission

To deliver engineering documentation so precise and so well-considered that it removes friction from the factory floor and the construction site — accelerating production, reducing rework, and giving our clients the confidence to build.

Our Vision

A future where Australian industry is shaped by engineering that is as thoughtful as it is technical — where pragmatic functionality and creative expression aren't trade-offs, but the foundation of work that lasts.

What We Do

Engineering documentation that builds without compromise.

We work with builders, fabricators, manufacturers and infrastructure contractors to produce precise, compliance-ready technical documentation — the kind that shortens production cycles, eliminates ambiguity, and lets your team focus on building.

🔧 3D Parametric Modelling (SolidWorks)

SolidWorks-based modelling for components, assemblies and full product development programmes. Models built to hold up under iteration — supporting rapid prototyping, clash detection and downstream manufacturing without rework.

📐 2D CAD Drafting

Technical drawings tailored to fabrication, construction and architectural delivery. Each set is structured for clarity, dimensioned for accuracy, and aligned with AS1100 drafting standards and the conventions your trades and certifiers expect to see.

🏭 Fabrication & Shop Drawings

Production-ready documentation complete with dimensions, weld specifications, sectional detail and bill of materials. Drawings written in the language of the workshop, so the workshop spends its time fabricating — not interpreting.

📑 Manufacturing Documentation Packs

Comprehensive documentation engineered for traceability and quality assurance. Assembly sequences, material callouts, GD&T and the connective tissue that turns a design intent into a repeatable, auditable production process.

✏️ Sketch-to-CAD Conversion

Hand sketches, field measurements and site photographs translated into precise digital drawings. A practical service for legacy assets, undocumented equipment and ideas that need to move from notebook to factory floor.

🔍 Reverse Engineering & Design Recovery

3D scanning, dimensional capture and parametric reconstruction of existing parts, tooling and assemblies. Ideal for replacing obsolete components, modernising legacy equipment, or preparing heritage designs for new manufacturing methods.

🔄 Ongoing CAD Support

Flexible weekly or monthly drafting capacity for businesses that need consistent, on-call engineering bandwidth without the overhead of in-house headcount. Scale up during peak demand, scale back when you don't.

🎯 Process Improvement & Engineering Consulting

For asset-intensive operations, defence and infrastructure programmes, and founders requiring technical clarity, we deliver structured engagements applying Lean, Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and continuous improvement methodologies. Clear next steps, considered recommendations, and the optional follow-up artefacts — diagrams, workflows, specifications — needed to move forward with confidence.

Why KEVOS®

Most drafting services deliver drawings. We deliver decisions.

Two decades of trade-floor and design-office experience.

Founder Kevin Jogin holds a Master's in Project Management (University of South Australia) and a Diploma of Tool and Die-Making, with 20+ years of hands-on experience spanning heavy engineering, mining, manufacturing, medical devices and defence-adjacent programmes — from BlueScope Steel's Coke Plant No. 6 and the Wiggins Island Coal Export Terminal to Orica mobile manufacturing units and the Doric window and door hardware range.

Drawings that respect the people who build from them.

Every drawing set is structured for the trades who'll cut, weld, machine and install from it. Clear views, sensible tolerances, GD&T applied where it counts — and removed where it just adds noise.

Compliance-ready by default.

AS1100 drafting standards, Australian Standards for structural work, ISO 128 for mechanical detail, CDC-compliant documentation for residential. We don't bolt compliance on after the fact — it's built into the way we draw.

Australian citizen, NV1-eligible.

For defence, maritime and infrastructure clients with clearance requirements, our principal is an Australian citizen eligible to obtain and maintain NV1 security clearance and ITAR authorisation.

One project, one drawing, one detail at a time.

No outsourced overflow. No commodity drafting. The studio you brief is the studio that draws.

How We Work

A six-phase process, refined over more than a decade of client work.

  1. Discovery & Site Assessment — We listen first, measure second, draw third.
  2. Concept Development — Sketches, options, and the trade-offs that matter.
  3. Stakeholder Review — Feedback loops with the people who'll build, install and certify.
  4. 3D Parametric Modelling — Geometry, fit and clash detection before any metal moves.
  5. Virtual Simulation & DFM — Design-for-manufacture review against your shop's actual capability.
  6. Final Drafting & Documentation — Production-ready drawings, dimensioned, toleranced and signed.

The result: drawings that arrive at the shop floor or job site ready to build — not ready to argue about.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you work with clients outside Sydney? Yes. We're Sydney-based but deliver remotely across Australia. Most drafting and modelling work is fully digital — site visits are scheduled where the project warrants it.

What file formats do you deliver? Native SolidWorks (.sldprt, .sldasm, .slddrw), AutoCAD (.dwg, .dxf), Revit (.rvt), STEP, IGES, STL and PDF — whatever your shop, supplier or certifier needs.

Can you work to our existing drafting standards? Yes. We routinely adopt client title blocks, layer conventions and tolerance practices. If you don't have a standard set up, we'll establish one.

Do you handle one-off jobs or just ongoing work? Both. From a single sketch-to-CAD conversion through to ongoing weekly drafting bandwidth, the engagement scales to the work.

Do you sign off engineering drawings? KEVOS® provides specialised drafting and design documentation. For certified structural or engineering sign-off, we partner with appropriately credentialled engineers and coordinate the deliverables.
