01Good candidates
Problems that suit a Factory Fix.
The best candidates are specific, recurring and costly enough to be worth solving properly.
- A recurring quality or rework problem on one product or process
- A bottleneck that keeps holding up a production line or workflow
- A job that depends on one person’s knowledge and needs to be documented
- A fixture, layout or setup that wastes time on every run
- Drawings or documentation that keep causing questions on the floor
02What you receive
Clear findings and a plan you can act on.
Deliverables are confirmed in the written scope before work starts.
- Problem review
- Current-state understanding
- Key observations
- Improvement opportunities
- Recommended action plan
- One agreed supporting document where appropriate
The supporting document may be, for example:
- Process map
- SOP
- Work instruction
- Technical action list
- Production-improvement plan
- Drawing or documentation recommendation
03How it works
Four steps from enquiry to action plan.
- 01
Enquiry
You describe the problem: what happens, how often, what it costs you and what has already been tried.
- 02
Scope confirmed
KEVOS® confirms the problem boundary, the deliverables, any site visit, timing and price in writing before starting.
- 03
Review
The problem is examined through information you provide, discussion with the people involved and, where agreed, a visit to see the work.
- 04
Action plan
You receive the observations, improvement opportunities and a practical, prioritised action plan, plus one agreed supporting document where appropriate.
Final scope, deliverables and commercial terms are agreed before commencement. Package pricing is indicative only and depends on scope, complexity, site requirements and deliverables. The Engineering Problem Assessment is a fixed A$195 for one defined problem. GST applies where applicable.
04Start smaller?
Not sure yet? Start with a A$195 assessment.
A Factory Fix stays the right choice when a problem clearly needs solving now. When you first need an engineering view, the fixed-price assessment is the smaller step.
Choose the assessment when
- You have one defined problem and want an engineering view before committing to a larger engagement.
- You want to know the likely causes, the options and a sensible next step.
- Remote discussion of photographs, drawings or process information is enough to start.
Choose a Factory Fix when
- The problem is known to be worth solving now and needs more than a preliminary view.
- You want current-state analysis, a prioritised action plan and a supporting document.
- Discussion with the people involved, or a site visit, is likely to be needed.

Engineering Problem Assessment
A$195 Fixed-price remote assessment
A fixed-price remote review of one defined engineering or manufacturing problem: a 30-minute technical discussion, a preliminary review of the information you supply, up to three improvement options and a one-page written recommendation.
One defined problem, assessed remotely. Payment is requested only after the scope is confirmed. GST applies where applicable. The exact amount payable is confirmed in writing before you pay.
05Questions
Factory Fix questions.
- What does “from A$990” cover?
- It is the starting point for a single, well-defined problem. Larger, less defined or multi-site problems are quoted to scope. The final price is confirmed before any work begins.
- Is the implementation included?
- The Factory Fix produces a clear action plan and, where agreed, one supporting document. Implementation support can be quoted separately if you would like help carrying out the plan.
- Do I need to share confidential information?
- Only what is needed to understand the problem. If you need a confidentiality agreement before sharing drawings or information, say so in your enquiry.
- Should I start with the A$195 Engineering Problem Assessment?
- Choose the assessment when you want an engineering view of one defined problem, its likely causes, up to three options and a recommended next step, before committing to more. Choose a Factory Fix when the problem is known to be worth solving now and needs current-state analysis and an action plan. The Factory Fix price and scope are unchanged.
- Does it include engineering certification?
- No. A Factory Fix is practical improvement and documentation work. Work that requires statutory approval or certification by a registered professional engineer is outside its scope.
